Tata Motors is the first one to come up with this type of scheme, follwed by Mahindra Finance. I will write in this article more details about the scheme. After reading the article please post your feedbacks and comments in the comments section. You can subscribe to our log here.

Summary

In this article we have learnt about the features in the Mahindra Finance Fixed deposit Scheme. It is good to see lot of options for customers like Tata Motors mahindra-fdand Mahindra Finance to opt for the good rate of return. I would like to see many other companies also will offer the same kind of fixed deposit scheme to lure the customers. This is good change for the customers, since people always deposit in the banks, when bank reduces the rates this kind of offers will help them to find value for their savings. Thank you for reading this article. Please post your views in the comments section. I am happy to answer your queries.

    @Pradeep,

    It depends on the risk and returns you are expecting from your investment. If you are not at all ready to take any risk, invest in the deposit schemes, but you will see very low returns because now the interest rates are low.

    If you can take little risk, I would suggest you to open mutual funds account and invest on that.You will see very good return. Most people prefer this idea.

    Thanks,
    Krishna

    Hi Muhammed,
    I don’t think FD are favorate nowdays ..with intrest rates sliding below 6% per annum which is low to compensate for the inflation which is growing as days pass by ….
    Though FD are gr8 on the line of security but return are meagre …

    My favorite now a days is Post office monthly income scheme with assured return of 8% and 5% bonus after end of 6 year..which works out to be around 8.78% per annum…lock in is 6 years and u get a monthly income of 6000 rs for 9 lac joint POMIS account deposit.

    If no cheques, then Do we personally have to visit the post office to withdraw the money .

    Hello Rahul,

    I agree with your thoughts about the Fixed Deposit. Nowadays the interest rates are very low and you will not get the good return for your investment. It is safe and can be good for senior citizens because they don’t want to take much risk.

    Post office savings is good option and many people still using that. I am not sure about your second question.

    Mahindra Finance FD revised its rates from April 20, 2009. See above link. Is there any change in the rates as of this month? I am interested to know more as my bank FD is going to mature and want to diversify.
