    Hi Krishna,

As you have mentioned in your previous reply to user query, that the Form 15G/15H has to be provided to the bank for that financial year. What happens is the FD is opened and getting matured in two financial year.? Do we have to provide two form for 2 financial years?

Example: suppose I have an FD for 8 lacs opened for 1 year on date 27/12/2008 and maturity on 27/12/2009. The interest income is more than 10000 so I have submitted only 1 form. Will this form be for financial year 2008 /2009? Do I have to submit 2 form for each year ?
Hope you understand my question and will reply ASAP

    Thanks
    Rahul

    Dear SBI and Website managers,

A number of people across are eager to have the details for the amount they fix in fixed deposits and the final sum assured after the term maturity. Why not a simple application is embedded which calculates the interest and the final amount he will get after maturity, depending upon principle value, interest rate applicable and time duration.
    Thanking you in anticipation.

The Court made a fixed deposit for specific 45 days of Rs 1.98 crores in 2009. Thereafter there was no direction to SBI to renew it further.
The money was lying withg the SBI branch for over 290 days.
The Bank has paid me interest calculated at 45 days interest and its auto renewal.

My contention is that the Bank should pay me interest for 290 days at the interest applicable for that period and NOT at the rate applicable for 45 days or its auto renewal.

    Pl clarify.
