Introduction
In this article I will be writing about how to find the status of ITR V form. You have to submit the ITR V form to the Income Tax office in Bangalore to complete the e-filing of Tax Returns. How to check ITR V for Status?
The following step-by-step process will help you to find the status of ITR V form.
Step 1 : Register new Account
Go to Income Tax efiling website : Incometax India Efiling . If you have account directly log in using the username and password. If you are new to this site then create new user using the link : Register New User. It will ask for your PAN number. Your PAN will be the username. When you give your PAN, it will take to next screen where you have to enter other personal details. If there is mismatch in the Name or Data of Birth, it will not allow you to proceed.
Step 2 : Login To Website
Now you have successfully created the account with this site. Use your PAN number and password to login to the site. Once login you will see the screen like below:
Step 3 : Find ITR V Form Status
Once logged in go to My Account Tab and click on the “E-Filing Processing Status“. You will see the screen like this:
Step 4 : Enter EFiling Acknowledge Number
Next you have to enter the EFiling acknowledge number which is printed on your IT Returns form while generating from site.
Step 5: View ITR V Status
It is done. You can see the status for ITR V form in the below screen.

When I tried to see E-Return Process Status a message comes out like this ‘There is no record found for the Pan and AssYr combination provided by you’
Kindly guide me what to do whereas my IT return was filed ok & I had got ITR-V too.
