DLF Westend Heights New Town is the largest township developed by the DLF builders. After the initial launch of this project, there is huge response from the public and most of the flats are booked with lot of expectation from the builder. But, DLF is not managed to meet the expectation of its customers by completing the project on time. Those who are invested in that project are suffering lot with no proper answer from the builder. The problem started with the approval, DLF has launched this project saying 13 floors the each tower, but the rude shock came in the later time says DLF has got the approval for only 4 floors. It is one of the problem area for the delay. On the other side, DLF is facing the serious financial crunch. It has the whopping debt of about 20000+ crores in its books. The worrying part is now the home loans interest rate is high, it reduces the volume of the sales for its projects. DLF has started selling many of its assets in north India to meet its expenses. I am creating the post to keep update the current status of the project and make the readers use this post to update their comments.
The latest update from DLF is to handover the possession of the flats by middle of 2013. It may be one part of the project. If you have purchased in the projects, please keep update the status to other readers. The below mail is received from DLF by one of our reader:

We take this opportunity to thank you for making our maiden project in Bangalore – ‘Westend Heights’ a huge success. As of now, the overall project stands sold out except for 2 units.
We are uploading the photos in our website that show the construction progress, every month. Hope you are going through the same and getting yourself updated.
We were earlier planning to hand over the apartments starting from August 2012. The exact dates of handing over of apartments are based on the Apartment Buyer’s Agreement (ABA) signing date and hence would be different for each customer.
We are pleased to inform you that we hope to get the approval for the development of the civic amenities area (CA area) from the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) by 1st week of July, post which we will commence the construction of Club house.
As you are aware, we had taken various steps to speed up the construction of your apartments. We had a detailed review and based on the present speed of construction, we feel that we will start handing over apartments starting August 2013, subject to signing of occupancy certificate (OC) by the concerned Govt. authorities.
We want to share the revised date so that all our esteemed customers can plan their shifting into their new homes.
